The Rider Info Pack and Final Race Details

Hello Rider,
This e-mail contains the final information for each of you before this Thursdays big race.  The trails at Anglesea could not be more perfect for us.  Hardpack tacky sandy loam for almost the entire 7.9km loop.  And on most of the way there is not so much as a leaf on the trail.  This years race course will favour the skilful smooth rider with about 80% of the track being flowing single trail. I could go on, but here are the details.

Toilets- On site, clean and stocked.

Race distance will be either three or two laps of the 7.9km loop depending on the division you are in.  The winners of most divisions will take between 60 and 75 minutes to complete the race.  The trail will be bunted out Wednesday, and practice laps are welcomed Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.  All riders must sign in on the day between 0830 and 0930 at the rego tent to get a race plate.  All riders must attend the race briefing.

All trails are very achievable, there is ample overtaking opportunities there are NO jumps and NO dropoffs on the race track, any difficult sections will have a chicken line around the outside of them.

Change of Venue

Due to flood related trail closures at the You Yangs flat track we have relocated the Emergency Services Games MTB event to Eumeralla Scout Camp 1415 Great Ocean Road Alglesea Victoria 3230.  Eumeralla has a first rate race course with flowing hard sandy single trak.  The trails are about as challenging as the You Yangs and the race will still cater for all skill levels.
